The Comic Fiesta 2024 dates have been announced, bringing one of the country’s biggest anime conventions back to a classic venue.
In a post on Facebook, the organizers revealed that the Comic Fiesta 2024 dates have been set for December 21st to 22nd, with the venue set for Kuala Lumpur Convention Center.
This year’s theme is Theatre Showtime, with the teaser image bearing a theatrical aesthetic.
The organizers haven’t shown off the line up of activities for Comic Fiesta this year- though given past years it’s safe to assume it will include the usual mix of stage panels, artists alleys and exhibitors.
That being said, they’ve said sign-ups for Cosplayer and Artist booths will be announced at a later date.
Comic Fiesta 2024 Sets The Stage For The Year’s Biggest Convention
Comic Fiesta is regularly one of, if not the biggest anime convention in Malaysia- last year’s event even saw an official SEGA booth with playable demos for the at-the-time unreleased Persona 3 Reload and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
The event was also previously also supported by HoYoverse, who had a life-sized teleporter from Genshin Impact at the event with merch for fans.
Despite a few years in other venues, it’s best known for its use of Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, with the annual sight of cosplayers lined up outside the convention center and taking photos at the park being an iconic tradition.
