Cygames is opening Cygames Singapore, a Southeast Asian branch of the Granblue Fantasy and Uma Musume publisher.
Announced today via the Cygames website, they’ve announced that Cygames Singapore will be focused on localization and marketing for their titles.

“Since launching its Overseas Business Division in 2017, Cygames has focused on overseas expansion by establishing offices in South Korea and Taiwan”, the statement reads.
“Following the establishment of “Cygames America” and “Cygames Europe” last year, the new “Cygames Singapore” will further strengthen the company’s structure for global expansion”, it continues. “Cygames Singapore” will be responsible for localized marketing and promotional activities for each country and region in Asia”
The company will be headed by Masafumi Chiba.
This could have potentially big ramifications for Cygames in the region- just like how mobile games like PUBG Mobile and Genshin Impact have big pubic events, we could potentially see similar activations in not just Singapore but Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
Cygames Singapore Strengthens Both Cygames And The Country Of Singapore
While Cygames is best known for their mobile portfolo consisting of games like Princess Connect, Granblue Fantasy and Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, they’ve also been licensing their IPs for console releases- such as with Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising and Granblue Fantasy ReLink.
Singapore has become a regional hot spot for the games industry- among publishers, it also plays home to the offices for Bandai Namco Entertainment, Capcom, Ubisoft as well as PlayStation, SEGA and Xbox.
Similarly, HoYoverse also operates out of Singapore, with the office coordinating events across the region such as HoYoFest.
The country even plays host to gamescom Asia, the Asian spinoff of the gamescom games conference.
