Garena has announced a real nostalgia pull with Heroes of Newerth Reborn, a continuation of the massively popular HoN MOBA.

No release date has been given just yet, though Garena and developer Kongor Studios have confirmed the game will be free-to-play at launch and will be on the iGames platform.

“After years of community support and the dedication of a passionate fan base, we are beyond excited to bring Heroes of Newerth back to life,” said Jesse Hayes, Co-Founder of Kongor Studios and former S2 Games developer.

“This isn’t just a relaunch, but a reimagining of what the game can be in today’s competitive gaming world. From the visuals to the network performance, we’ve worked hard to bring the best possible experience to both veteran players and newcomers.”

Nick Caras, also known as BreakyCPK, Director of Communications at Kongor Studios, added: “Heroes of Newerth has always held a special place in the hearts of players, and with HoN: Reborn, we’ve kept what made the game unique while upgrading everything around it.

“Our partnership with Garena has been essential in making this a reality, and we can’t wait for players to jump back into Newerth with the improved iGames platform.”

Heroes of Newerth Reborn Features

Heroes of Newerth Reborn is a new adaptation of the original HoN, building on the originals cult-status gameplay.

It will feature over 80 heroes at launch, with more set to come post-launch.

Additionally, it will also feature new mechanics, such as a new Phoenix Boss as well as Ravens to improve sight and letting Kongor push lanes.

The game will also see quality of life improvements, such as a reworked UI as well as role queue to help players get into their games faster.
