PlayStation has announced the long-speculated PS5 Pro, an updated and improved model of the PS5 console.
Unveiled last night, the PS5 Pro features an improved GPU as well as PlayStation Spectral Super Scaling, allowing for better visuals in games alongside a 2TB SSD.
It’s set to launch on November 7th, with pre orders opening on September 26th.
While no price for South East Asia has been announced yet, the console will retail for $699.99 USD, £699.99 GBP, €799.99 EUR, and ¥119,980 JPY (includes tax).
Similar to the updated PS5 Slim model, the Pro model sports a discless design, and is compatible with the add-on Disc Drive accessory.
PS5 Pro Game Boost
In a blog post they also announced that previously released games will also see an improved performance from the new features, via the PS5 Pro Game Boost, targeting “over 8,500 backward compatible PS4 games”.
They’ve also confirmed the following games would be receiving updates for increased performance on the PS5 Pro:
- Alan Wake 2
- Assassin’s Creed: Shadows
- Demon’s Souls
- Dragon’s Dogma 2
- Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
- Gran Turismo 7
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
- The Crew Motorfest
- The First Descendant
- The Last of Us Part II Remastered
This isn’t the be-all end-all list of titles, however, as PlayStation has also promised more games in future.
