Co op horror game REPO is gunning for a spot as the next viral horror co op game, as it gets over 200,000 players since in its first month.

REPO Steam

According to SteamDB, the game, which launched in Early Access February 26th had a peak concurrent players of 230,000- an impressive number for a self-published title.

REPO Gameplay

Developed by semiwork, REPO fits that same new genre created by games like Content Warning and Phasmophobia- the one about cooperatively completing tasks in a horror game with the magic of proximity chat.

Similar to Lethal Company, the game has you exploring creepy environments with the use of a physics-based tool, seeking specific items to bring back to your ship for rewards.

However, this genre wouldn’t be complete without creepy enemies, which players will have to work together to avoid to make it to their next pay day.

It also features a progression system, where you’ll be able to buy upgrades and weapons for your characters, like an additional jump for better getting your cargo where it needs to go.

semiwork have also been big on communicating important updates for the game, such as announcing that the game would be getting a kick button for multiplayer sessions as well as an upcoming museum level.
