After months of speculation it’s been revealed that the Cristiano Ronaldo Fatal Fury City of The Wolves speculation is real, and the famed footballer will be coming to South Town.
A new trailer shows off the Ronaldo Fatal Fury trailer, with the acclaimed footballer duking it out with what appears to be a magic football.
He joins the game as part of its base roster, not being part of the already announced DLC lineup.
Unfortunately, his announcement did not come with news that he would be playable in the upcoming Open Beta for Fatal Fury City of the Wolves.
Ronaldo Fatal Fury Gameplay
The Ronaldo’s playstyle appears to be that of a more neutral-centric character, being able to control space with his football shots as an extended poke.
He seems to have two variations of the ball attacks, with the Blue one being faster and hitting once versus a Red ball which can be bounced to hit multiple times.
Similarly, his movelist shows that he also comes with a rekka- a special move with different follow ups he can use including a brake to psych out your opponent.
The Ronaldo Fatal Fury collab was first teased back in September- while some fans had hoped it’d mean the pro footballer would be taking Buster Wolves to the face, the more conservative fans assumed it’d be more akin to an ambassadorship.
Celebrities in videogames have always been a weird but fun choice- from Snoop Dogg in Fortnite to Ariana Grande in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, it’s a good way to pull in more casual fans when their favorite people are in games.
