Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that they will be buffing Elden Ring Scadutree Fragments, the DLC’s unique level up system to help players struggling with the early game.

Elden Ring Scadutree Fragments

In an announcement, they said they would be releasing an update that alters the scaling curve for Elden Ring Scadutree Fragments as well as Exalted Ashes, which buff Spirit Summons.

The changes are described as follows:

  • The attack and damage negation has been increased for the first half of the maximum amount of Blessing enhancements, and the second half will now be more gradual.
  • The attack and damage negation granted by the final level of Blessing enhancements has been slightly increased.

They’ve also said they plan to make further balance changes in future updates.

Elden Ring Scadutree Fragments And Difficulty Discourse

Elden Ring Scadutree Fragments

The difficulty of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree has been the cause of some discourse- many players had complained that the DLC was aggressively overtuned, with many enemies easily disposing of characters who had not been collecting their Scadutree Fragments.

The developers had even put out multiple reminders to players to collect the fragments and spend them on Shadow Levels.

With this, individual Shadow Levels should feel more meaningful, giving players some relief agaisnt bosses like the Divine Beast Dancing Lion.

Elden Ring Scadutree Fragments

Scadutree Fragments are scattered across the map, being at locations like Miquella’s Crosses, Churches as well as some enemy NPCs.

That’s not the only change though, as Bandai Namco Entertainment says they’ll also be fixing a bug that turned Raytracing on even when players had turned it off, taking a chunk out of the game’s performance.
