Square Enix has announced a unique collaboration for one of its mobile games- an FF7 Ever Crisis Monster Hunter collab, to be precise.

Announced yesterday and starting on May 30th, the FF7 Ever Crisis Monster Hunter collab brings Monster Hunter-themed outfits for Cloud, Zack, Tifa and Aerith.

FF7 Ever Crisis Monster Hunter Collab Armor Sets

Cloud gets an armor set themed off the Glavenus alongside the Glavenus Greatsword, while Zack gets a Zinogre themed ensemble and Aerith gets the Kamura set.

Tifa, predictably, gets the way-more-skimpy-than-usual Kirin set, complete with Kirin-themed fists.

In a short teaser for the event they even showed Cloud and Zack’s animations changed to match their Monster Hunter counterparts- with Cloud doing the iconic charged slash.

It’s not currently known how you’ll gain access to these outfits for the party- though knowing Gacha games, they’ll be somehow tied to the Rathalos event boss.

The collaboration is reportedly in part to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Monster Hunter series, which is one of Capcom’s highest selling franchises following the release of Monster Hunter World and its expansion Iceborne.

This isn’t even the first time Monster Hunter has partnered up with Square Enix- the game also had a collaboration quest in Final Fantasy XIV that featured a Rathalos raid boss, while Behemoth from XIV was an event boss for Monster Hunter World.
