The FV Major 2024 by Malaysian FGC organization Flash Vision has been named a stop for the Tekken World Tour, meaning players can join the tournament to grab points for the esports circuit.
Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the list of Master Events and Challenger Events, with Master Events giving points to the top 193 placing players, while Challenger gives out points to the top 25.
The FV Major 2024 is listed as a Challenger Event, alongside the TGU 2024 Master event in Thailand as the only ones in the SEA region.
FV Major 2024 will run from July 27th to 28th at Sungei Wang Plaza, and will feature multiple tournaments aside from just Tekken 8 such as Street FIghter 6 and Guilty Gear Strive.
The event is holding early bird registrations that close today, with full registration opening in May.

This isn’t the first time the tournament has been named a stop for the Tekken World Tour- last year’s FV Major was also a Challenger Event, and saw multiple top players coming to the country to take part in the final series for Tekken 7.
Tekken has a particularly strong presence in Malaysia- many arcades will stock cabinets for the series, and Tekken 8’s launch this year even saw a large fan tournament.
