HoYoverse has announced the contents of the Genshin Impact 4.5 Update, which sees a return to the starting region of Monstadt as well as a new banner that lets you choose your featured 5-star.
The Genshin Impact 4.5 update, titled Blades Weaving Betwixt Brocade will be available from March 13th, and will feature three characters returning for the featured banner: Arataki Itto, Neuvilette as well as Kazuha will all be having their reruns in this version.
Additionally, new character Chiori will also be getting her featured banner in the first half alongside Itto, with the character being a Geo Sword user who synergizes well with other Geo characters who employ constructs.
Choose Your Own 5 Star In Genshin Impact 4.5 Update
Part of the 4.5 update for Genshin Impact also introduces Chronicled Wishes– these are their own banner that let you choose a 5-star from a pool of previously limited, essentially making your own rerun banner.
The pool for Chronicled Wish characters is as follows:
- Eula
- Mona
- Albedo
- Klee
- Jean
- Diluc
Similarly, players can also opt instead for a variety of 5-star weapons, which you can view on the HoYoverse website.
Just like the regular banners, after choosing your featured character, this banner will give you a pity system wherein if you get a 5-star that isn’t the one you chose, you’ll be guaranteed the character as your next 5-star.
HoYoverse has mentioned that contents of future Chronicled Wish events will change, though pity progress will carry over between them.
New Events
In the new Alchemical Ascension event, players will help Jean and Lisa brew new potions to help the local businesses in Monstadt, doing everything from scouring ingredients to even making the potions and selling them to the customers.
This minigame is like a business sim, with players eventually being able to buy more operational facilities and truly embrace the spirit of potion capitalism, with the event offering rewards like a 4-star polearm Dialogues of the Desert Sages.
