Habu Kazumasa, producer of multiple Digimon titles says he won’t be working on the series games anymore.

In a tweet, he says that he’s not worked on Digimon since April of last year.

“Due to personnel changes within the company, I am no longer in charge of producing Digimon games”, the Tweet reads.

He also expressed his gratitude to fans who had supported him during his tenure with the brand.

“I was involved in the content called Digimon, I was able to experience the passion of the fans of this work, I would like to thank all the fans who loved my work”, he says.

He also said that development of a new Digimon Story would be handled without him under a “trusted director”.

Kazumasa’s first major credit for the Digimon games is Digimon Story: Lost Evolution where he served as a Production Assistant, while his first gig as Producer was on the Digimon Story: Super Xros Wars games.

Under his lead Bandai Namco Entertainment had also revisited two older Digimon titles with spiritual follow-ups, with games like Digimon World: Next Order and Digimon All-Star Rumble paying homage to the Digimon World and Rumble Arena games respectively.

He also oversaw the development of the popular Digimon Cyber Sleuth games.

He was also Chief Producer of Digimon Survive, the most recent new Digimon game that took a darker spin on the Digimon games and featured tactics gameplay.
