Hidetaka Miyazaki has received the Special Award in CEDEC 2022, and his award speech goes: “From Dark Souls until today, the game’s high difficulty designs has got the fans hooked, and the genre continues to achieve new breakthroughs in the later releases. As the collective masterpiece, Elden Ring has contained greater quality and content size than all past works, and was praised and supported by many gamers across the globe. Hidetaka Miyazaki has gained many awards , and his works has gained attention not only from gamers in general but other game developers as well. His works and creativity continues to inspire and affect the game industry.

In 2004, he joined FromSoftware.
Since then, he has directed many titles such as “ARMORED CORE 4” series, “DARK SOULS” series, “Bloodborne”, “SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE”, and “ELDEN RING”.
His personal awards include the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Golden Joystick Awards 2018.
