SEGA has released the Version 1.1.0 update for their puzzle adventure game Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop on Apple Arcade today. With this first update, players can now tackle the new Challenge Dungeon map, choose from 6 new characters—who each have their own unique story, pair up with a buddy for the Double Puyo mode, and pick up 7 additional songs from the in-game shop.

Adventure Mode now features the Challenge Dungeon map—each space features tougher objectives for you to test your wits against. The Challenge Dungeon map offers special rewards and endless amounts of fun: the modes and objectives will vary each time you play! (*Unlock Challenge Dungeon by playing through Adventure Mode.)
Meet 6 New Characters
Stories for Schezo, Ms. Accord, Draco Centauros, Lidelle, Risukuma, and Ally have been added to Adventure Mode! Once you clear each of their stories, you’ll be able to play as them! *More stories will be made available in future updates.
Partner Up With a Friend in Double Puyo
In this mode, team up with a partner and take on another pair of players in a contest to aim for the highest score. Work together to fill up the gauge and score as much as you can!
Get 7 New Songs From the Shop
7 new arrangements of songs from past Puyo Puyo games are now available. Visit the in-game shop and use points to pick them up!
