PETA PIC Lisa Lange posted a statement praising Guardians of The Galaxy VOL 3, and thinks that it sheds a new light to audiences towards lab/experimental animals to be victims of harm, and gave them name and personality. PETA believes that it is hinting us to stop experimenting on animals just because we can.
“In labs, they mainly use animals such as Rocket’s friends, Lylla, Teefs and Floor to endure extreme pain on their bodies and ultimately die. These animals are usually trapped alone in small cages, to be dissected, infected with various diseases or to be conditioned into a weak state, and is forced to endure pain, locked on binding devices to be constantly stimulated, and was also not provided with enough food and water, not to mention painkillers.”
