PS5 Slim Malaysia fans won’t have to wait much longer, as the updated model of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s gaming console will be releasing in the country soon.
In an announcement on the Sony Malaysia Facebook Page today, they confirmed that the PS5 Slim would be available in Malaysia from 20th February 2024, with both the digital and regular editions being sold.
The consoles are available for pre-order now, with single controller and dual-controller versions available.
PS5 Slim Malaysia Price And Features
The PS5 Slim Malaysia price is set for RM2499 for the physical version, while the digital only will be available for RM2069.
While it doesn’t contain any performance enhancements, the updated PS5 model does feature an overall smaller and lighter build, with PlayStation previously announcing an 18% downsize for the physical edition and 24% for the digital.
It’s not currently known if the accessories for the console will be available in Malaysia as well, such as the now-optional vertical stand and the disc-drive add-on for Digital only users.
PlayStation has previously announced that this console will be a direct upgrade of the previous PS5- that is to say, once the original console runs out of stock, the PS5 slim will be the only one in production.
The console will arrive in Malaysia just in time for the next big PlayStation exclusive, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
