Saudi Arabia has announced that it will be opening the world’s first and only Dragon Ball Theme Park, celebrating the legendary shonen manga.
As reported by Oricon News, the Dragon Ball Theme Park will be in collaboration between Toei Animation and Qiddiya, a mega corporation in Saudi Arabia.
About The Dragon Ball Theme Park
Not much else is known about the theme park just yet- it will be in Qiddiya City, though there is no projected due date for the project.
However, at the signing event they unveiled a massive statue of Shenron, the wish-granting dragon which would also double as a roller coaster track.
Similarly, a concept trailer they put out also showed VR experiences such as a virtual Kamehameha attraction as well as a VR rollercoaster.
Saudi Arabia has been taking more interest in Japanese culture over the years- SNK Corporation is one of many studios bought by Saudi companies, while also having been rumored to be behind the horrible financial state of the Embracer Group.
