Helldivers 2 servers are in a bit of a pickle, as the game continues its massively successful launch to the point of affecting service.

This past weekend, multiple players reported issues logging into the game, with servers being unavailable due to the high player load.

“Despite our best efforts to increase server capacity to accommodate all of you who want to dive for Freedom, we are experiencing capacity issues”, a tweet from the Helldivers 2 Twitter account reads.

“We are once more working without delay to improve the issue and we hope to have a fix in place as soon as possible. Thank you”.

While some were naturally upset at not being to play a game that’s now sitting at over 400,000 active players on Steam, many more assumed foul play was involved- that is, by the Automatons that are the target of this week’s Galactic War.

All across Twitter people have been engaged in the same insane speech patterns the Helldivers use, labeling the machine threat on that has its eyes on Democracy.

Not Even Helldivers 2 Servers Can Stop Its Success

Helldivers 2 has been an absolute dark horse of success stories in PlayStation’s lineup for this year- featuring cross-play and a simultaneous PC launch, the game’s been spreading like wildfire all through memes and word of mouth.

The game features drop-in co-op, as you and your fellow Helldivers work together to fight off threats to Super Earth- from the insectoid Terminids to the deadly Automatons.

If the Helldivers 2 servers can go off without a hitch it’s set to continue its strong trend this week- possibly even breaking its current 409,000 concurrent playerbase record.
