International players will be able to play Nornium outside of China, with the game getting a Steam release.
Unfortunately this Steam version doesn’t include English language support, and it doesn’ t look like the developers have any plans to add it any time soon.
The game has no release date yet, though developers Flaring Cloister said beta tests are planned for May, with the game also releasing on Android and iOS.
That being said, Flaring Cloister says the plan is to release the game some time in 2024.
It looks as though there will be content differences in the PC version, however, due to this rather suspect statement translated from the FAQ page:
“We are committed to providing players in China with an original and uncensored game experience. Taking all factors into consideration, releasing the game on Steam is the best choice”, the FAQ reads.
About Nornium
Nornium is a mecha musume game, using mobile action controls similar to Honkai Impact as you pilot your space girls to fight enemies in space.
It even follows the same squad formation, as you build a squad of three girls all with their own skills and ultimate abilities that can range from super armor to rush punches.
This includes some pretty impressive-looking flight controls, as you’re not limited to moving along one plane while you dodge and shoot your way to victory.
Given the already risque nature of the characters outfits, fans would be surprised to know that the game will also feature paid skins, though the exact nature of them is still unknown.
