Continuing from our previous article, we’ll be covering more information on the Combat aspect and Customization aspect of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon!

As aggresive battles that changes a combat distance from far to near in an instance is a big feature of Fires of Rubicon,

Players can choose to approach their battle according to their playstyles, a wide range of weapons is also available, from explosive attacks, multi-lock missiles, or to get in close with quick movements to eliminate the enemy.
With a search function called scanning, players are able to detect enemies ahead of visual obstructions in advance, preventing any ambushing enemies ahead from getting themselves onto the players.

A skill called quick turn is available in the game, allowing the players to turn quickly to their aimed direction to take out any ambushing enemies from their blindspots.
When overwhelmed by enemy attacks, players can use shield to defend themselves against enemy attacks and look for a chance to counterattack.

Another key element to the Armored Core combat this time around are the Impact and Stagger values, that acts as a balance between attack and defence in the title.
Impact from an attack would help to compromise the control system of another mech due to it accumulating strain and making the mech to go down temporarily.

In a staggered state, any attacks received at the duration is counted as an direct hit, which deals heavy damage. An effective use of stagger is how players may overcome a difficult enemy in game.
An Impact gauge is shown as a visual indicator on the enemy’s mech, which is very similar to the Posture gauge in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

As for customizations, players can review the part configuration of their AC at the Assembly, to adapt themselves to difficult situations faced in a mission.
Assembly is one of the most exciting features in the Armored Core series, which allows players to freely change frame parts such as head, core arms and legs to their needs.

Each part plays an important role in changing the gameplay dramatically, especially the leg types and characteristic that directly affects how the AC is manuvered. The shoulder equipments available includes missiles, cannons and shields for defensive manuvers.

A total of 4 weapons can be equipped on each hand and shoulder. That aside, weapons can be hand-held and it includes a variety of ranged weapon with altering performances and behaviour, and it goes the same for melee weapons.
In the showcase, a Reverse Jointed Legs legtype is choosed which is highly maneuverable, and allowed the presentor to overtake the enemy and emerge victorious!

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will be released on August 25th 2023 with an worldwide simultaneous release, on the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
