SEGA has revealed more information about the upcoming Nintendo Switch™ title Samba de Amigo: Party Central (releasing August 30, 2023), including details about the characters, stages, and the StreamiGo! mode.
Using your Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons as maracas, line up the maracas with dots on the screen at the right angle, wait for the right moment, and shake ’em! Follow on-screen instructions to dance or strike a pose, and groove to the beat of hit songs.
More tracks will be added as DLC after the game is released.
About the SteamiGo! Mode
StreamiGo! is a single-player mode in Samba de Amigo: Party Central where players complete challenges to gain followers.
This mode is named after a popular social media platform in Amigo’s world. On StreamiGo!, all sorts of influencers put on a show, competing to gather as many fans as they can.
Sitting at the top of the popularity ladder is Rabbina.
How to Play StreamiGo!
Upon selecting StreamiGo!, you’ll be shown a bunch of influencers. There are missions attached to each influencer, and each mission grants a certain number of followers.
Missions have their own tracks, difficulties, and requirements. Consider these factors as you
decide which one to take on.
As you dance, comments from the audience will be displayed at the bottom left of the screen.
Some of them will cheer you on, and some will give you donations. Put on a show and draw in the crowd!
Your status as an influencer in the city will change as you gain more followers.
Customization Shop
At the Customization Shop you can modify your character’s appearance, clothes, and much more.
Instead of maracas, you can wield glowsticks or even barbeque skewers. You can also switch your icon to honor your favorite Amigos. Customize your character to your heart’s desire!
Items for the Customization Shop can be purchased via in-game currency, which you can earn by playing the game.
Some game modes grant special rewards, so try to play a variety of different modes to customize your Amigo to the fullest!
You can also make your character look like Sonic, Puyo Puyo, or other characters by purchasing DLC.
Character Profiles
○ Rudolph
A dancer-slash-rapper who’s also a successful music producer and club manager. He’s well-
versed in all genres of music and has a keen eye for talent. He’s also secretly active as a food
influencer.
Likes: Caviar. Birthday: May 13.
○ Rabbina
The most popular and well-known influencer in the world. In addition to her first-class dancing
skills, she also maintains a thriving modeling career. She is very active on social media and is
immensely popular amongst younger age groups. Many of her fans want to see her do a
collaboration with Amiga.
Likes: Macarons. Birthday: November 1.
Stages
○ Streets
An area located on the outskirts of the city. While the crowd that normally gathers here is a rough and rowdy bunch, they are all music lovers who can set aside their differences whenever the tunes start playing.
The center has become a tourist attraction due to its graffiti art, which is produced by a master of the craft.
○ Livestream
An area in the city where celebrities and influencers gather. It is located in the depths of a facility dedicated for streaming. Rabbina hosts her livestreams from this facility.
